Anonymous opnep, a hacker group
from Nepal, has claimed to have hacked the server of the Nepal Telecom, one of
the biggest telecommunication service provider in Nepal.According to their
Facebook page post they have all the internal or personal details of the NTC
users provided to the Nepal Telecom while registering the new SIM. The hackers
have also posted on their Facebook page stating that they have no intention of
hurting the Nepalese citizens but are eager to teach lesson to the Nepal
Telecom for the poor service they have been providing till now. A statement by Anonymous
opnep on their
facebook page read as…
“Dear @Nepal telecom, We are anonymous #opnep. As the inner corruption is getting
bigger, Where 1mb or fewer megas are transferred to the clients through Adsl,
broadband instead of 5-6 MB. We are watching you, we were watching you and we
will WATCH YOU. We are not going to take down NTC server which will cost
Millions of rupees to Nepali government, but we are taking control of
everything. Private message us your number
and we will find your detail and provide you your details which are registered
in NTC seasrver.”
No official statement has been published by NTC regarding this issue.
